School Improvement 

At Oak Field Primary School we engage in a process of ongoing self-evaluation, in order to monitor and evaluate how we are able to improve our school. 

We do this in a number of ways, including:

Stakeholder Self-Evaluation Day: every year we dedicate a day to work alongside representatives from our stakeholder groups, reflecting upon our success and ways forward. Included in our participants are staff, current pupils, former pupils, parents, governors, and representatives from the Local Authority, partner agencies, organisations and charities.  

Surveys: we issue several surveys throughout the year in order to better understand the perspectives of different members across our school community.​

Learner Progress Cycle: this process enables us to determine, communicate and act upon the progress that our learners are making.

​Learning Reviews: through monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the learning and teaching across our Flourish Curriculum, we are able to have a better understanding of supporting and challenging our learners.

​​​Ongoing Professional Feedback: during the year we work with our staff, governors, several external providers and colleagues from across our school cluster, helping us to review our school improvement priorities and provide us with a broader perspective on our strengths and ways forward.

 ​It is from all of these processes, amongst others, that we are able to establish our school improvement priorities and develop our School Development Plan (SDP). The table below shows an overview of our school improvement priorities from 2024 - 2027.
